CEELA: Venezuelan electoral system is one of the best and most audited in the world

On Thursday, the international accompaniment of the Electoral Expert Council of Latin America (CEELA) assured that Venezuelans can go to the polls with the confidence that their vote counts and can not be manipulated by anyone.

Nicanor Moscoso, president of CEELA, at a press conference from the headquarters of the National Electoral Council, in the start of the program of international electoral accompaniment for the municipal elections, reiterated once again that the Venezuelan electoral system is one of the best in Latin America and the world, besides being one of the most audited ones.

“It is a safe process, where the hand of man does not act at any time, only to cast the vote and to verify that the machine has responded to his will.”

The strength of the Venezuelan electoral system lies in the set of audits to which it is subjected before, during and after an election; process that has the endorsement of organizations with political ends involved, hence “the results of this country have never been formally refuted with complaints that merit an investigation,” he said.

Moscoso reiterated his confidence in the Venezuelan electoral system, “I am sure that once again on December 10 will deliver to Venezuelans and Venezuelans the real results of their democratic will.”
