President Nicolas Maduro signed on Monday the approval of the Cuba-Venezuela Cooperation Plan 2016, which has an investment of 1,428 million dollars and 6,954 million bolivars .
He explained that the plan has 10 prioritized social areas, enumerating firstly the Health Care Program, secondly the Drug Supply Program, Thirdly the Electrical Support program, in fourth place the Human Talent Program, on fifth place the Sports Promotion Program, on sixth place the Program for Cultural Promotion, on seventh place the Agrifood development Program, on eighth place the Infrastructure and Housing development Program, on ninth place the Services of support to the agreement Program, and in tenth place the Economic Union, joint ventures and development Program.
From the Nestor Kirchner hall of the Miraflores Presidential Palace, in Caracas, the Head of State stressed that the agreement is a reality, that involves more than 30,000 collaborators, who are in different neighborhoods of the country, announcing that soon will arrive to the country Cuban experts in each of these programs.
The maximum national leader recalled that with the Bolivar-Marti agreement was born Barrio Adentro (Mission), noting that as part of those agreements with Havana the Barrio Adentro project will be boosted to a 100%: “I have approved the Cuba-Venezuela Binational Plan under the framework of ALBA, we have to increase the number of Cuban and Venezuelan doctors, medical instruments and to further strengthen the CDIs, with stare-of-the-art equipment”.
