Venezuela prepares economic measures against possible US trade, oil and financial blockade

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, announced that he has prepared a set of economic decisions and measures for the defense of the country against the possible commercial, oil and financial blockade announced by the United States Government.

“The scenario of international aggression that is announced from the White House against Venezuela, that will be decisive. I have prepared a set of measures to defend us from the commercial, oil and financial blockade that will decree Donald Trump against Venezuela … We are prepared”, he said in a press conference with national and international media held from Miraflores Palace.

He reported that he held a meeting with the president and a team of the ANC to jointly prepare, between the Executive and the Original Constituent Power, the economic measures for the defense against possible aggressions.

The Head of State asked for the support of the people of Venezuela and the peoples and Governments of the world “Because Venezuela will not be drown by anyone, nor will be kneeled by anyone”, he said.

In the national economic area he explained that actions should be maintained and specified within the scope of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda, the Great Mission Sovereign Supply and the strengthening of the CLAP (Local Supply and Production Committees).

“Fortunately now we have the ANC. We no longer have any kind of legal impediment nationwide (…) The ANC will accompany and play a key role in the announcements and actions that we will start very soon in the fight against induced inflation and other imported anomalies of the economic war”, he said.
