The president of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), Delcy Rodríguez, said on Tuesday that the Venezuelan “transnational” opposition represents a threat to the protection of Venezuela, as they promote imperialist attacks against the Bolivarian Homeland.
“The Venezuelan right wing is a criminal organization for the intervention of Venezuela, it is an anti-Venezuelan right wing, against the interests of Venezuela, against the constitutional order, against the rule of law of Venezuela”, she said during an ordinary session of the ANC to discuss measures in defense of the Homeland against the financial blockade of the United States against the country.
“It is definitely said, with reliable evidences, the stateless nature of the Venezuelan right wing; They have requested a financial blockade against Venezuela, have requested a commercial block against Venezuela, they have requested a military intervention, they have requested weapons to make a war inside Venezuela”, she said.
She recalled that the National Government had long denounced before the international and diplomatic organizations on the financial blockade against Venezuela that was aggravated last Friday when the blockade against Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) was formalized with the objective of affecting the Oil industry, being Venezuela the main oil reserve in the world, as well as undermining the bases of the oil industry and its operating companies with their respective subsidiaries.
“The opposition has no limits in their criminal action”, said Rodriguez, referring to the communiqué issued by the right wing where they justify the actions of the empire against Venezuela and where they call on other countries to apply similar sanctions.
In that sense, she urged the Native Constituent Power to discuss and establish the necessary actions for the protection of Venezuela.
“Here is the protective shield of our country, because it is an original popular process activated for the defense of Venezuela. Today more than ever we know that President Nicolás Maduro had a historical reason in calling the ANC for peace, national defense and the integrity of our country”, she said.
