The members of the Republican Moral Power – presided over by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab – expressed on Thursday their willingness to acknowledge and subordinate themselves to the original and plenipotentiary character of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC).
“We place our posts as Attorney General of the Republic, Controller and Ombudsman so that you have them as the highest authority of the nation. The ANC represents the Original Constituent Power of the sovereign people of the Republic and today we come here to vow to serve and protect from the various bodies that make up the Citizen Power”, said Saab from the Protocolary Chamber of the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas.
Saab ratified that the Citizen Power of the Venezuelan State, through the ANC comes to vindicate the country’s democracy and in no way to institute actions that promote hatred and violence against the revolution and the Constitutional President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
“We come to vindicate this democracy and tell that in the hands of this Citizen Power the peace of the Republic is guaranteed. No member of this Citizen Power will ever give an element to unleash violence, nor to overthrow an elected and legitimately constituted President as is the citizen President Nicolás Maduro”, he emphasized.
