The Vice President for the Development of Territorial Socialism, Aristóbulo Istúriz, responded on Saturday to the call for general elections that has been making a sector of the right wing, clarifying that until the constitutional mandate of the current President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, is not fully met. National elections will not be convened.
“Maduro will go to elections when his period is met, before that there will be no elections!” He expressed sharply during a conversation that took place in Caracas’s Bolivar Avenue, where a cultural and sports takeover took place in rejection of terrorist acts of the Venezuelan right wing.
“They can do whatever they want, burn the sky, bust the country, whatever they want, but in here there will be no national elections until Maduro meets his term.”
Istúriz asked to respect the will of the Venezuelan people who expressed themselves through the vote in 2013. “Maduro was elected by the people and the people is to be respected! Four spoiled daddy’s children can not be above the people, four children of riches, who are accustomed to do whatever they please, can not deceive and kick the people. They have to respect the people and Maduro was elected by the people! ”
He pointed out that the events of chaos and terror generated by the right wing in recent days, protected by imperialism and international financial sectors that are interested in our wealth, respond to this position. “Never in our life had we seen a Venezuelan sitting talking to the head of the Southern Command to ask for the invasion of Venezuela, (as did) Julio Borges.”
