CNE will activate 381 voting centers for electoral simulacre this Sunday

The rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Carlos Quintero, reported this Thursday that “all the protocols have already been tested” established for the parliamentary elections on December 6, so this Sunday, October 25, the electoral simulacre will take place.

He indicated that for this Sunday there will be 945 tables in 381 centers. He stressed that voters can go to any voting center: “there we are going to study the proper operation of all protocols, including biosafety”, he said.

Quintero explained that in this process there will only be 3 table members to avoid unnecessary crowds and a new role is added to the work teams, which is the health official who will manage the biosecurity point.

«This electoral event is the most difficult challenge for the CNE due to all its characteristics such as the blockade and the pandemic, it is undoubtedly the greatest challenge for December 6 and we have worked so that the country has all the necessary measures and vote in peace” said Quintero in a television broadcast: “we can say that we are ready for the December 6 elections”, he added.

He assured that they have advanced by “80% in all logistics activities (…) CEOFANB will have the responsibility of safeguarding all electoral material and at the same time they must be the key to avoid contagion during the elections and the drill”.

For his part, the Commander of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CeoFANB), Remigio Ceballos, pointed out that the Republic Plan will be deployed to guarantee the security of Venezuelans during the simulacre and elections on December 6.
