National Dialogue installs board on political, economic, and social guarantees

Delegations from the National Government and the 2015 National Assembly have agreed to establish a new technical work group focused on political, economic, and social guarantees, as part of the results of the third round of talks of the National Dialogue board, which concluded on October 21 in Caracas.

During this cycle were developed six days of work, two plenary sessions, and 15 meetings across four technical working groups, all aimed at monitoring previous agreements and incorporating new mechanisms to strengthen democratic coexistence.

Among the commitments established, both delegations agreed to assess and seek solutions to situations that might hinder access to or the protection of political rights, taking into account the progress made under the Program for Peace and Democratic Coexistence of Venezuela. Likewise, they initiated discussions to create a defense stance for political guarantees and citizen participation.

Finally, the delegations reaffirmed their commitment to monitor the implementation of these agreements and to provide timely reports on the progress achieved throughout the dialogue process.
