Bolivarian Government and PAHO strengthen cooperation to consolidate National Public Health System

The Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting this Tuesday with the representative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in Venezuela, Dr. Armando De Negri; the Sectoral Vice President for Science, Technology, Education and Health, Isabel Iturria; and the Minister of People’s Power for Health, Nuramy Gutiérrez. The meeting allowed for a review of the progress in unifying the National Public Health System under a free, high-quality model.

During the work journey, the authorities evaluated the supply mechanisms for the arrival of essential medical supplies and vaccines to the country. Rodríguez highlighted the importance of technical coordination to enhance the capabilities of the Ministry of People’s Power for Health in areas such as strategic planning and statistical systems.

«We are focused on guaranteeing the fundamental human right to health for all Venezuelans.» Likewise, he highlighted that this alliance with international organizations makes it possible to ensure the social protection of the people through an articulated and efficient hospital network.
