Was installed in Caracas Presidential Commission for Restructuration of the Government

This Monday was formelly installed the Presidential Commission for Government Restructuring and Reengineering, a stance that will develop a proposal that “complies with the principles of efficiency, transparency, and starring democracy,” and that adapts to the historical moment that the country is currently living.

According to a press release, the event was led by the Vice Presidents for Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez, and for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, who will chair the commission, and had the participation of ministers and heads of areas such as Humane Management, Public Policies, among others, from ministries and their affiliated bodies.

Rodríguez defined the initiative as “an effort to continue advancing in bringing the national government’s bureaucratic structure closer to what we dream and desire it to be, that is, to make it more democratic so that all citizens feel being a part of it, feel respected, and where all their needs are efficiently met.”

The Vice President emphasized that this entire process will be carried out respecting the social state of welfare, the rule of law, and justice that characterizes the National Government, and therefore this restructuring will be made with the view of strengthening and increasing “the capacity to serve the people in their primary and basic needs.”

For his part, Vice President Menéndez noted that transformative moments such as this one are adapted to the characteristics of the current historical moment. In this regard, he mentioned the existence of the Seven Transformations (7T) Government Plan, the kidnapping by the United States of President Nicolás Maduro, and the political process led by Acting President Delcy Rodríguez, “which has to do to stability, achieving governability, and guaranteeing the development of the Bolivarian Revolution.”

Within that context, -as he remarked- comes this proposal for restructuring and reengineering the government.

“What can we gain from this process of government reengineering? Everyone should consider what we can obtain from this process. We always focus on the structures; we have a plan, which is the 7T plan, and we must program according to that plan,” he argued.

On May 26, President in Charge Delcy Rodríguez announced the creation of this commission for the Restructuring and Reengineering of the Government to adapt it “to the new reality of Venezuela.”
