The Plenary of the National Assembly (AN) unanimously enacted the law ratifying the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Air Transport, an instrument designed to align the domestic legal framework with global standards governing commerce and commercial aviation.
During this Thursday’s ordinary session, the law was debated article by article, highlighting the importance, relevance, viability, and suitability of this international convention for aligning with the operational and safety guidelines and requirements of international aeronautics.
It should be noted that this regulatory framework aims to provide greater legal protection to both passengers and carriers involved in flights connecting the country with international destinations, also the protection of users by establishing clear criteria in matters of compensation and the liability of air carriers in the event of occurrences such as delays, damage to or loss of baggage, and cargo transport.
