The Venezuela-Suriname Joint Commission will meet in Paramaribo during the first quarter of 2027, as informed this Friday the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, from the city of Paramaribo.
In this regard, the Head of State noted that «As we have signed today, President [Jennifer Geerlings-Simons], we have an agreement for the next Joint Commission to take place here in Suriname, in the first quarter.»
«But I ratify the invitation for you to visit us, to truly understand the depth of our Venezuela; I am especially pleased to make this invitation,» Rodríguez stated.
Likewise, she emphasized that «the path is cooperation, the path is friendship, the path is engagement within the framework of international law, which must replace any form of conflict, dispute, or disagreement; this is the path, so that we may set that example for countries in our region and other countries of the world.»
Let’s remember that both nations share a long-standing relationship, currently focusing their cooperation on energy matters, agricultural exchange, and the strengthening of diplomatic and commercial ties.
