Venezuela proposes international agenda based on mutual respect

Venezuela’s acting president, Delcy Rodríguez, expressed through her official channel on Telegram the country’s willingness to advance an international relations agenda founded on mutual respect, sovereign equality, and constructive dialogue. This declaration was made after a meeting with heads of mission from the European Union and the ambassadors of the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

The meeting took place at the Miraflores Palace complex in Caracas, where it was debated about a new stage of relations based on international law. The objective is to advance a productive and cooperative dialogue in various areas for the common well-being of the peoples.

Rodríguez emphasized, through her channel on Telegram, Venezuela’s commitment to an international cooperation that promotes “the shared benefit of our peoples.” This approach is framed within the principles of sovereignty and non-intervention that Caracas defends in multilateral forums.

This diplomatic activity takes place within the context of the recent aggression by the US that left a hundred people dead and which involved the kidnapping of constitutional president Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Woman Cilia Flores. This event has shaped the country’s current foreign policy.

Previously, the Acting President held telephone conversations with the dignitaries of Brazil, Colombia, and Spain. In these conversations, she informed them about the serious criminal, illegal, and illegitimate aggression perpetrated against the Venezuelan nation, seeking international support in light of the situation.
