Venezuela denies security alert by the US and assures the country is in complete calm

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, through its Ministry for Foreign Affairs, issued this Saturday an official communiqué in response to the recent security alert published by the United States Department of State.

In the document, the Venezuelan Chancellory categorically rejects the claims from Washington, qualifying them as non-existent tell-tales whose objective is to create a perception of an unreal risk regarding Venezuelan territory.

In response to the «warnings” by the US administration, the Venezuelan Executive emphasized that the country enjoys complete stability: «Venezuela is in absolute calm, peace, and stability”, reads the text, also assuring that: populated areas, communication routes, and checkpoints are operating under complete normalcy. The statement stresses that the State’s security devices are fully operational.

Likewise, it stresses that the entirety of the Republic’s weaponry is under the strict control of the Bolivarian Government.

Finally, the Venezuelan State ratified its commitment to the protection of peace and civic coexistence, and is reaffirmed the Government’s position as the sole guarantor of tranquility in the country.

The Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela observes that the security alert concerning our country, issued by the Department of State of the United States, is based on non-existent tell-tales intended to create a perception of risk that does not exist.

Venezuela is in absolute calm, peace, and stability. All populated centers, communication routes, checkpoints, and security devices are operating normally, and the entirety of the Republic’s weaponry is under the control of the Bolivarian Government, the sole guarantor of the legitimate monopoly on the use of force and the tranquility of the Venezuelan people.
