Venezuela and the UN review cooperation with agencies of the United Nations System

The Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, met this Thursday with the UN Resident Coordinator in Venezuela, Gianluca Rampolla, to review the cooperation agenda with the systems and agencies of the United Nations System.

On his channel on Telegram, the Venezuelan Chancellor highlighted the strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation within a framework of mutual respect:

«During this meeting, we analyzed the relations between the Venezuelan Government and the agencies of the United Nations System, which have been strengthened in recent years through a framework of respectful cooperation,» reported Gil.

Likewise, both officials reviewed the work carried out by the UN Permanent Representative, where were highlighted the organization’s cooperation with Venezuelan institutions and the people, «in accordance with the promotion of human rights.»

Cooperation between Venezuela and the UN is currently focused on the United Nations Cooperation Framework for Sustainable Development (2023-2026). This program covers priority areas such as health, education, social protection, economic development, and access to justice, as refers UN Venezuela on its account on the Instagram social network.
