In an act of profound political significance held in front of Miraflores Palace, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, formally handed over the text of the Reform of the Organic Law on Hydrocarbons to the acting president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, for its immediate promulgation.

The head of the legislative branch highlighted that this legal instrument was approved with urgency and unanimously, a fact that reflects the national consensus regarding the defense of strategic resources. During the ceremony, Rodríguez emphasized that the law is the result of an unprecedented national effort, where were processed more than 120 proposals originating directly from the organized people.

“We deliver this law into the best hands. This legislation has a projection of more than a century; it has been designed to protect the future of the upcoming generations and recover the prosperity that the Venezuelan family deserves,” stated the deputy at the time of its delivery.

With the headstart of this reform, the Venezuelan State seeks to consolidate a new economic era of sustained growth. The absolute support of the Parliament gives this law an undeniable political strength, allowing the National Executive to advance firmly in the revitalization of the oil industry and the translation of the energy wealth into tangible social well-being.

This act marks the end of a cycle of democratic consultations and the beginning of a key stage for the economic sovereignty, reaffirming the Bolivarian Government’s commitment to the stability and development of the nation.
