Following a telephone conversation between the Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and the President of the United States, Donald Trump, the governments of both nations confirmed this Thursday the immediate reopening of commercial airspace over Venezuela.
The announcement was made by President Trump during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, where he expressed his expectation that the measure would take effect before the end of the day. This will allow U.S. and Venezuelan citizens to travel between the two countries with complete safety guarantees.
Trump highlighted the strengthening of diplomatic ties between the two administrations, qualifying the relationship with the current leadership of Venezuela as very solid, and thanked the willingness of his counterpart to reach this agreement.
This understanding, prioritized on the bilateral agenda, marks a milestone that seeks to normalize commercial air traffic in the region, thus promoting connectivity and mobility within a framework of mutual cooperation.
For her part, Acting President Delcy Rodríguez recently reiterated that, within the framework of respect and diplomacy, will be addressed various bilateral issues in order to guarantee peace and social well-being for both peoples.
