The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, expressed her joy this Monday at handing over the keys to families affected by the tragedy that occurred last June 24.
During her address at the «Ciudad Tiuna» Housing Complex, the National Dignitary emphasized that the Bolivarian Government’s greatest satisfaction is ensuring that children and their families have a new home:
«Our greatest happiness is handing over the keys to a new house to a boy or girl who goes along with their family, their parents, uncles, grandparents, siblings—will build a home after this terrible tragedy we experienced last June 24,» explained Rodríguez.
Before the beneficiary families and the authorities who accompanied her at the handover, the Head of State reiterated that the established goal is to reach the deliver of at least 4,000 homes before the end of the present year. She also clarified that this figure is «not counting what we are going to do and build anew.»
Finally, the President specified that this effort is part of a much broader expansion project: «We are currently reviewing land, clearing plots to begin building new homes, in addition to these 4,000 that we will deliver between now and December.»
This way, the National Government prepares to begin new construction works, expanding the country’s housing capacity and reaffirming its commitment to public housing policy.
