A total of 346,755 tons of debris have been collected to date in the areas affected by the seismic doublet of last June 24. According to the report published this Monday by the National Government, this volume of debris represents a 16.51% of the total projected for the reconstruction phase.
Regarding housing infrastructure, the authorities reported that 43,679 housings have been assessed, of which 41,624 suffered some type of damage. The technical inspection determined the following levels of impact:
– 25,325 homes are in habitable conditions.
– 9,866 homes have restricted use.
– 6,433 structures have been classified as being at high risk situation.
As part of the response plan for affected families, the official report confirms that 287 housings have already been delivered to those affected by the earthquakes.
Balance on Rescue and Assistance:
Regarding the medical emergency and rescue efforts, state institutions reported that 6,462 citizens were rescued alive from the rubble, while a total of 60,992 people have received medical attention in the hospital network.
Finally, the weekly bulletin from the reconstruction board updated the human impact figures, confirming that the number of deceases caused by the earthquakes has risen to 6,125.
