Venezuela rejects actions that seek to suspend its legitimate rights in Mercosur

Comunicado-oficial-415x260
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects the illegal and anti-juridical actions against the nation within the Common Market of the South (Mercosur) and which violate the rights of Venezuela as a State party to the bloc, of which it holds the Pro-Tempore Presidency.
This was reported by the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodríguez, in her account on the Twitter social network @DrodriguezVen, through a communiqué.
Since Venezuela took over the Pro-Tempore Presidency of Mercosur on July 29, right-wing Governments in countries such as Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil have launched a campaign to try to delegitimize the country and try to annul its exercise in the body, which contravenes the Rules of the bloc.
Following is the complete communiqué:
BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA
MINISTRY OF PEOPLE’S POWER
FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS
COMMUNIQUÉ
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in full exercise of the MERCOSUR Pro-Tempore Presidency, rejects and denounces to the international community, particularly to the peoples that make up MERCOSUR, the serious illicit set by four (04) Chancellors of the bloc, which seek to impose a fraudulent suspension on the legitimate rights of Venezuela as a State Party, through false assumptions preconceived to attack and harass our country.
The alleged sanction has no valid legal basis, lacks an express legal procedure and a competent collegiate body to decide. A group of Foreign Ministers confabulating to plot a fraud against the Mercosuran institutionality cannot substitute its legality, in a frank abuse of power by the invention of sanctions that do not exist in any norm of the bloc, in the worse unilateral, authoritarian and antidemocratic style. Such a rude and ordinary action can only be explained by the imperial mandate that the Chancellors meet against Venezuela.
The four ministers are so aware that the MERCOSUR regulations do not authorize them to make such an irrational decision, that during these months they have jumped from the forging of one to another anti-juridical excuse in order to provide sustenance for their deception. and therefore they have ended in the absurd extreme of invoking the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, knowing that it does not apply to Venezuela for not being a signatory of this instrument.
The plotting Chancellors actually mask their deep political and ideological intolerance against the Bolivarian Revolution, and its integrationist and unionist model. They have sought to persuade the international public opinion, to harm Venezuela, even at the cost of hitting the integration process and the organization itself.
Venezuela has not only ostensibly fulfilled the Mercosuran legal framework by incorporating ninety-five percent (95%) of the standards in just four (04) years, but it has done so with a bigger efficiency  than the rest of the countries, which in twenty-five (25) years since its foundation, do not even come close to our percentage of normative internalization. If they were at least consistent with their own lies, they should first suspend themselves, given their extravagant and scandalous delay in incorporating the rules.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects and denounces this arbitrary and fraudulent act that constitutes a serious international violation. Venezuela continues and will continue to exercise all its rights as a State Party to MERCOSUR by mandate of the law, and requires the four Governments to stop circumventing the legal procedures and urge the compliance with the Direct Negotiation mechanism contemplated in the Treaty of Olivos for the Settlement of Disputes, as a mechanism for dialogue and political negotiation.
To the Governments that assume illegality and intolerance as a conduct, we say that truth will be imposed and history will once again witness its defeat.
To the peoples of the South, we express our commitment to greater integration, with respect for the consolidation of MERCOSUR and call them to remain alert to this new attack against the Bolivarian spirit.
“Surely union is what we need to complete the work of our regeneration.”
