BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA
MINISTRY OF PEOPLE’S POWER
FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS
COMMUNIQUÉ
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan Government and the people, extends a deep congratulation to the Government of the Republic of Panama and joins the celebration and jubilee that seizes his people for the 195 ° Anniversary of their independence.
On this day of great historical importance for the Panamanian people, we recall with joy the visionary words of the Liberator Father, Simón Bolívar in his Letter of Jamaica, where he expressed “How beautiful it would be for the Isthmus of Panama to be for us what the Corinthian isthmus is for the Greeks. I hope that one day we will be fortunate to set up an august congress of representatives of the republics, kingdoms and empires to discuss and discuss the high interests of peace and war with the nations of the other three parts of the world ” . That is why today more than ever, aware of this reality we reaffirm our will to remain united to continue the legacy of Bolivar.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela ratifies its commitment and support to the sisterly Republic of Panama to continue with the necessary work to build the Great Patria, joining forces in turn to make the world a more just, multi-centric and pluri-polar home.
