President Nicolás Maduro instructs to renew Productive Councils of Workers in 90 days

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, summoned the working class this Monday to renew the Productive Councils of Workers (CPTT) in the next 90 days:

“We are going to make an effort, the General Staff of the CPTT so, in the next 90 days, we renew all the CPTT that are pending, in direct democracy, for their renewal”, he stated during the 3rd National Meeting of the CPTT held in La Yaguara, in Caracas.

During his speech at the meeting, Maduro assured CPTTs have increased by 128%, which represents their activation in 2,555 companies in the country, of which 83%, equivalent to 2,126 CPTT, are pending renewal of their management staff:

There is 1%, 21 CPTT that are inactive. We must call them and activate them. These are truly compelling figures that fill us with great moral and political strength”, he assured.

In this context, the head of state emphasized that these workers’ councils represent “the great instrument of construction of socialism”, for which he asked the entire Council of Vice Presidents and Ministers to put themselves at the service of the CPTT:

“An efficient work mechanism must be created to support the CPTTs with administrative advice and technological innovation, raw materials and financing”, he said.

All companies must be productive:

When exhorting the exhaustive review process of the socialist management model, President Nicolás Maduro reiterated that “all companies (in the country) have to be productive”.

He referred that every 15 days there should be a work journey with the productive CPTT “in their factory, seeing their results, seeing the management model, the product, the difficulties, listening to criticism, self-criticism”.

“We are going to activate a special team to attend in real time, by the 1 × 10 method, in the Presidential Palace of Miraflores, to have a center of attention and support to the 2,555 CPTT of the country”, he advanced.

In this sense, he commissioned the Minister for the Office of the Presidency, Jorge Márquez, within the framework of the “1×10 system of good government”, to open a department “only for the working class, to receive their complaints, their alerts, their proposals”.

José Khan” Working Class Congress:

Similarly, the national president announced that the 2nd Congress of the Working Class “José Chino Khan” will be held between the months of March and November this year.

The debates will take place throughout the national territory, with the opening date being March 2, 3 and 4.

The Congress will have as its goal “to consolidate the Bolivarian Homeland to build socialism”, as detailed the President upon receiving the proposal from the president of the Bolivarian Socialist Workers Central of Venezuela (CBST), Wills Rangel, who explained that a national tour will be made, which will begin this week “to collect the proposals from the catacombs, for a closure in November for the 11 years of the Bolivarian Socialist Workers Central”, he explained.

Productive financing:

Among other guidelines, President Maduro asked the Minister for Industries, José Gregorio Biomorgi, to lead a meeting with the presidents of the Banco de Venezuela, Banco Bicentenario and Banco del Tesoro banks to articulate the process of financing the Productive Councils of Workers:

Those three banks have to be the lungs to give oxygen to all the CPTTs in the country, you bring together the presidents of those three banks and so the General Staff of the CPTTs is there, and make a special financing plan just for CPTT, because those banks have the mechanisms and the resources to do so”, he indicated.

Likewise, the president assured that all CPTTs must be incorporated into the administration and planning levels of the companies, “the government has to get its act together, Vice President Tareck El Aissami, the Ministers have to get their act together, so that the model of management incorporates, with a definitive voice, at the administration and planning levels, in all the companies, the country’s CPTTs”, he said.

He insisted on the need to revolutionize the pace of work and decision-making to solve problems and increase the country’s capacity to produce goods, services and wealth:

“We have strong muscles (…) Venezuela has what it takes to grow in production, to solve raw materials, financing and investment for growth,” he stressed.

Finally, the president asked his government team to coordinate so that the country card system is integrated into the CPTT and there are “mechanisms for planning production and meeting needs.”
