From the Ayacucho Hall of Miraflores Palace in Caracas, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, offered his first press conference of 2017 before national and international media, in which he said that the objective is to continue taking to the World the truth about Venezuela.
“Venezuela is a permanent and recurring theme of the media. Since 18 years ago, already the triumphant revolution in the Bolivarian Government, in politics, in the Latin American and geopolitical world scenario, was news and a cause for debate and campaign”, said the Head of State.
He recalled that almost two decades ago Commander Hugo Chavez was heard, who initiated a debate of a historical development, of a revolutionary political, social, spiritual and cultural process that was consolidated in the Bolivarian Revolution.
This meeting came after the Head of State addressed his annual message to the nation on Sunday, January 15, in which he highlighted the achievements of the people and the Bolivarian Revolution during 2016, including the increase in social investment, which went from 71 to 73%, despite the economic boycott.
