“The only way for us to ensure peace is through dialogue,” said this Saturday the Vice President of the Republic, Aristobulo Isturiz, who reiterated his call for sectors of the right wing to join this process without conditions, nor threats.
His reflection was expressed during a meeting held with parish spokesmen of the Bella Caracas Plan, part of which was broadcast by Venezolana de Television.
He stressed on how successful it has been the strategy developed by the National Executive to encourage and promote peace through dialogue to settle political differences with the right wing and to solve the current economic situation of the country, marked by the economic war that has been promoted by sectors of the opposition in order to generate destabilization.
The Vice President said that the strategy of peace will ensure a beginning of 2017 infinitely superior to that of 2016.
“Every day we conquer peace, we go overcoming. (…) We came out victorious in September and today we can say that October was victorious as well. We had serious international compromises, ” he said.
In that regard, he mentioned the successful presentation of the report on Human Rights made by Venezuela to the Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN) in Geneva, Switzerland, on Tuesday, in which was acknowledged the strengthening of the Venezuelan institutions in this area, and the spontaneous mobilization that made the Chavista people in defense of the Revolution throughout the country, against the threats from the right wing against the democratic institutions.
“The people is touchy right now, there is a willingness to defend this Revolution,” he said.
