The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, said that the great task that has the Bolivarian Revolution is to build and consolidate the People’s Power, which is conjugated in the construction of the communal economy, internal peace in communities and the right to life, for “the construction of a new spirituality.”
“We are in the advanced stage of development and implementation of new constituent People’s Power (…) from the People’s Power that is emerging, from construction of the missions and Great Missions, will arise at due time a new Constituent People’s Power to establish the basis of a very advanced democratic civilization and a very advanced new political model, a truly direct, popular and starring one”, said the Venezuelan Head of State during a journey of balance of the “Great Mission Barrio Nuevo, Barrio Tricolor”, a propos of celebrating its third anniversary.
He explained that to build the People’s Power merits creativity, boldness, to make the new dicect, participatory and starring democracy, the People’s Power exercising power, and assured that until now we have known the representative democracies, from the slaverer to the bourgeois one.
The Head of State said that Venezuela does not trascend the bourgeois representative democracy, although it acknowledges that has experienced new forms of People’s Power, of a direct democracy, pf what it qualifies as a true citizen democracy, although he acknowledged that “today we can not say that Venezuela has a socialist democracy. ”
He assured that the construction of the new democracy must be done from the collective experience of the People’s Power, such as the corridors of the Mission Barrio Nuevo Barrio Tricolor, the urbanisms of the Great Mission Housing Venezuela, the communes and communal councils.
He also expressed that compliance and respect for the Constitution is a guarantee of peace and he will not allow anyone to get out of it, and called on the people “to build the new things and run over the small things, on staying in a sterile fight with the bourgeoisie “.
