Revolutionary government delivered protest note in rejection of Alan Duncan statements

On behalf of the people and Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe, Yván Gil, delivered on Friday a Protest Note to the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Andrew Soper, on this occasion. to reject once more, in a forceful way, the words issued by the Minister of State for the Americas, Alan Duncan, which put in evidence his clear alignment with Washington’s interests.

The statements were made within the framework of the 2018 Chatham House Conference on Latin America. In these statements is observed a deep ignorance of the Venezuelan reality, making invisible the great social, political and economic advances that the Bolivarian Government has achieved in a sustained manner, along with the people.

The Government of Venezuela is not surprised that are being used the same arguments and phrases repeated by the mainstream media, whose interests are aimed at undermining the institutions and the morals of the brave Venezuelan people.

Faced with this new imperial attack, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry urged the British Government “to implement a healthy, fruitful dialogue, based on respect, without impositions and conditions”.

The Protest Note was delivered in the Social Heroes Hall of the Yellow House Antonio José de Sucre (Seat of the Chancellory), located in Caracas.
