Chancellor: Venezuela enjoys one of the most strengthened democracies in the world

The Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodriguez, said that Venezuela possesses and enjoys one of the most strengthened democracies in the world.
This was reiterated on Tuesday by statements to the media, from the Dominican Republic, where the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) -European Union (EU) is being held.
The Chancellor explained that when Commander Hugo Chavez came to political power in 1998, our country became a constitutional process and was approved a new constitution that meant to strongly passing from a participatory democracy to active democracy of the people.
“It’s a democracy in the Constitution and in practice, where there is a popular organization, the direct participation of the people in the management of Government, which accompanies its policies with the People’s councils,” she said.
She invited to the country to all those who want to witness the experience of the organized people in Venezuela, “It is the true people’s power governing a country.”
