The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, met with the secretary general of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur), Ernesto Samper, in Quito, Ecuador.
The Venezuelan President went to the South American nation in order to participate in the Conference of the United Nations (UN) on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, Habitat III, which began this Monday.
During the weekend, Maduro also met in Caracas with the former President of the Spanish Government, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, who is part of the commission that seeks to promote a dialogue between the Government and the opposition.
