This Monday, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez announced that, in light of the imposition of unilateral sanctions by the United States against the country at the end of March, Venezuela is operating its oil production normally.
In a statement shared on her Telegram channel, the vice president emphasized that Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) is maintaining its wells in production through its own efforts in order to meet its daily production volumes.
She also urged transnational companies whose licenses to operate in the country were revoked, to continue with their normal operations as established by Venezuelan law:
«Those transnational companies whose licenses were revoked by the US government at the request of failed Venezuelan extremists, are welcome to continue participating in production under a win-win arrangement based on contracts signed with the national industry, in accordance with the Venezuelan legal framework,» reads part of the document.
Furthermore, it highlights PDVSA’s commitment to its gas production to meet domestic needs and expand exports to international companies.
