The Sectoral Vice President for Sovereignty, Security and Peace, G/J. Vladimir Padrino López, announced that the electoral process took place in order and the people of Venezuela went out to vote for the national consensus, for the daily and permanent construction of peace as a value.
From the headquarters of the Strategic Operational Command located in Fort Tiuna, he stressed that the people of Venezuela took to the streets to attend the voting centers, «to exercise the human and political right to vote, voting for the option that their conscience dictates, a perfectly peaceful day.» In turn, he stressed that, «the people of Venezuela are preparing to open their arms to a new post-electoral stage.»
Likewise, he mentioned that Venezuelans also voted against the sanctions of North American imperialism and its allies against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela «that have done so much harm to the people.»
The Minister of People’s Power for Defense also praised that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) have seen with satisfaction that a strong will has come together among political organizations of candidates and political actors who have abandoned the stateless insurrectional path, so that the people of Venezuela are preparing to open up to a new stage.
He also stressed that in the last elections, so much peace and civility had not been observed on the part of the Venezuelan people. For his part, the Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, mentioned that during the electoral elections this Sunday, a great participation of the people’s power was achieved and a demonstration that Venezuela is a democratic social State of law and justice: “We have given a demonstration of broad democratic participation in the country,” he said.
He explained that in order to collaborate with the National Electoral Council (CNE) and the Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), support was achieved with broad participation from all the Citizen Security Bodies and Police Corps under the command of the aforementioned institution to guarantee peace.
Finally, he mentioned that security actions will continue through resolution 072 in force until Monday, July 29, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.
For his part, the commander of the Ceofanb, G/J., Domingo Hernández Lares reported that, as part of Operation Republic – Presidential Election 2024, the FANB will continue to be deployed until August 15 in support of the CNE as the governing body of the electoral process: «We will continue to safeguard the security of the voters, guaranteeing order, ensuring the custody, transfer and safekeeping of technological and non-technological electoral material and instruments,» he added.
Finally, he mentioned that the joint and unified operation of accompaniment, security and custody under the leadership and control of the CEOFANB will guarantee this stage of public order and peace.
