The Venezuelan journalist Jose Vicente Rangel invited to reflect on the situations that prevent a path to dialogue between the Government and the opposition, which is fundamental to address issues of a national interest.
During his program «Jose Vicente Hoy» (Jose Vicente Today), broadcast by Televen, the renowned journalist said that radical political positions make difficult the problems that must be solved by all sectors.
«We must deeply reflect on this issue,» said Rangel.
He also referred to the national and international media attack against the country, which aims to magnify what is happening in Venezuela, just as it is made to be seen in the United States, European countries and in some others of the Latin American region.
He emphasized that wight wing sectors still maintain pretenses to revoke the mandate of the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro.
«The obsession of the opposition leadership to defeat President Maduro and to prevent at all costs, whatever the price, the end of the mandate that the people gave to him in free, democratic elections, adjusted to what the Constitution says, rules the behavior of the opposition sector» he said.
On several occasions, the Head of State has called for a dialogue with opposition groups and has welcomed mediators of this process at Miraflores Palace, in Caracas. Recently, he attended the visit made by the secretary general of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur), Ernesto Samper.
Likewise, in this work for a national dialogue are involved, since several months ago, the former presidents Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero from Spain; Leonel Fernandez from the Dominican Republic; and Martin Torrijos from Panama.
