Venezuela congratulates US for 240 years of its declaration of independence

The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, congratulated the people and Government of the United States of America on the occasion of the celebration of the 240 years of their Declaration of Independence from Britain, which occurred in 1776.

COMMUNIQUÉ:
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan Government and the people, congratulates the people and Government of the United States of America on the occasion of the celebration of the 240 years of its Declaration of Independence from Great Britain, which occurred in 1776.
This date marks the right of the former colonies to be free and independent, and ended the English colonial desire on North America. On the occasion of the commemoration of the Independence of the United States, Venezuela emphasizes the validity of two fundamental principles that marked this historical fact: Freedom and the equality of peoples.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela highlights the doctrinal roots of the Independence of the United States as the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for its people and want in this relevant date for the US, that its people can be redeemed on the principles that inspired its independence.
Venezuela ratifies its willingness to establish bilateral diplomatic relations of respect with the US, guided by international law and principles as the sovereign equality of States and the right to self-determination of peoples. Such principles inspired the Independence of the United States from the British Empire.
