imperialism applies more than a thousand coercive measures against Venezuela

Venezuela is the victim of 1,027 unilateral coercive measures, as reported William Castillo, Vice Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies, on the “Vía Alterna” (Alternate Way) program, hosted by journalist Isbemar Jiménez.

After January 10, 53 new unilateral coercive measures and direct sanctions against 52 public officials have been applied to us,» explained the Vice Minister.

The United States sanctioned 8 people, Canada 14, the United Kingdom 15, and the European Union 15. In addition, as part of the criminal aggression against Venezuela, the State Department increased the «reward» for the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, and the Ministers of the Interior, Justice and Peace and Defense Diosdado Cabello and Vladimir Padrino López respectively.

Vice Minister Castillo indicated that those sanctioned are Venezuelans who are working for peace and sovereignty in the country. However, the attack against Venezuela has not stopped the growth of the economy, the deepening and strengthening of participatory and protagonistic democracy.
