COVID: Venezuela registers 59 new infections in the country this Wednesday, all community transmissions

This Wednesday the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 “informs the people of Venezuela that in the last 24 hours a total of 459 new infections have been detected in the country, all of them by community transmission.”

This was announced through the Twitter social network by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.

She also added that the Capital District is the entity with the highest number of community cases this Wednesday (167), with active infections in 20 parishes; followed by states: Miranda (88), Mérida (51) and Zulia (38).

Likewise, Dr. Delcy Rodríguez added: «We regret to report that in the last hours, 6 Venezuelans have died from this virus: A 72-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman – from Barinas state – A 69-year-old man – from Miranda state – A 69-year-old woman – from Portuguesa state – A 85 years old woman – from Monagas – A 75 years old man – from Nueva Esparta state -”, she said.

To this date, these are the general statistics of the Coronavirus in Venezuela: – Total infections: 137,445 – Recovered patients: 129,487 (94%) – Current active cases: 6,627 – Total deaths: 1,331.
