This Sunday, the head of state and government, Nicolás Maduro, urges the Venezuelan people to give full compliance with the 7 + 7 method and to avoid contagions. He made a call on all sectors of the population to join the fight against Covid-19.
“7 + 7 has been a good, pertinent method, a method that we should take care (…) is a method that achieves the point of equilibrium between the necessary restrictions and the useful flexibility for the country’s economy; Caring for life, that is the most important thing. “
During the month of March 2021 Venezuela entered a second wave of contagions because of p.1 and p.2 variants of COVID-19. The goal of the national executive is to reduce the contagions and advance in the immunization of the population as access to vaccines is happening.
By offering a balance on the actions taken for the prevention, care and control of sCovid-19 in the country, Maduro detailed that Venezuela has attended this global emergency from the first day by guaranteeing treatments and free care to all patients.
Likewise, the dignitary reported that in the coming days, Venezuela will rank the financial commitments acquired with the Global Access Fund for Vaccines COVID-19 (CVAX), through which more than 11 million doses are guaranteed for the Venezuelan population.
Finally, President Maduro stressed that “The Coronavirus (Covid-19) subject can not be politicized, no one can let the issue of the health struggle of Venezuela be partidized, to be manipulated for political, conspiracy purposes (… ) The Coronavirus subject is sacred because it is health, it is the life of the family”.
