Head of State Nicolás Maduro, reelected by the Venezuelan people on July 28, 2024, takes office for his third constitutional term (2025-2031) in a solemn act in the National Assembly. This ceremony, led by the Executive Branch, takes place in compliance with article 231 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
Popular Celebration and International Support:
The swearing-in becomes a massive celebration, where the Venezuelan people and social movements, both national and international, mobilized to support President Maduro. With joy and determination, citizens took to the streets to celebrate this victory of peace and constitutionality, swearing their loyalty to the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries from different nations, as well as more than 100 diplomatic representations from around the world. Delegations from Colombia, Cuba, Honduras, Russia, Algeria and China, among others, joined together to celebrate this milestone in Venezuelan history, highlighting the international interest and support for the revolutionary process.
Upon his arrival, Nicolás Maduro was accompanied by the First Combatant Woman, Cilia Flores; the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez; the President of the Supreme Court of Justice, Caryslia Rodríguez; the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab; the President of the National Electoral Council, Elvis Amoroso; Jorge Rodríguez, President of the National Assembly and the Sectoral Vice Presidents and the Superior General Staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), thus consolidating strong institutional and political support at this crucial moment for the country.
A historic place for the inauguration:
The solemn ceremony took place in the Elliptical Hall, a historic place for Venezuela where countless historical treasures are kept, such as the chest containing the Book of Minutes of the First National Congress of Venezuela, where can be seen the Act of Declaration of Independence, signed on July 5, 1811.
With this new mandate, President Nicolás Maduro reaffirms his commitment to the Venezuelan people and the defense of national sovereignty, in a context of popular support and the construction of a new democratic civilization.
