The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced this Wednesday the formation of a retinue of corrupt former presidents around the fugitive from Venezuelan justice, Edmundo González, and assured that Venezuela is taking all possible actions for its defense against this coup attempt. Thus he indicated during his participation in the Notification of the Board of Directors and Start of the National Assembly (AN), for the 2025-2026 sessions term:
“A true Sodom and Gomorrah has been placed around the new Guaidó”, warned President Maduro, and denounced that the US Treasury Department “is an open checkbook”. On the other hand, he shared his wishes for the next presidency of Donald Trump to investigate the outgoing Joe Biden administration, for the diversion of funds to “the new Guaidó”.
He then indicated that in the face of interference from the outgoing Biden administration, «our people upholds its right to the legitimate constitutional defense of our democracy, of our institutions, our Constitution, and our right to peace, which is the future.»
Finally, the national leader indicated that «we are going to emerge better from all the battles we have had,» which will result in a greater sum of peace, strength, prosperity and respect in the world: «That puppet will also have his time, just like Guaidó,» he concluded, referring to the criminal González Urrutia.
