Governorates complete 71% of priority projects so far in 2024

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported during the Federal Government Council held at the Palacio Blanco (White Palace), that the governorates and mayors have completed 71 percent of the projects presented (377) and are in the execution phase (154) more projects, which is triggered by 29 percent, prioritized in roads, health, water services, sports, electricity, education and public transportation.

Together with the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, he indicated that the mayors have 909 projects in development, with a level of execution of 77 percent, represented in 708 completed projects and 210 that remain to be executed, that is, 23 percent of the investment. He indicated that thinking about social investment is necessary for the country to continue on its path, based on a full recovery and thus safeguard the interests and the right to happiness of the majority.

The economy, by national consensus, «we took it out of the political diatribe and placed it in the field of effort and work,» ratified President Maduro during the plenary session of said Federal Government Council.

He also highlighted that in the first National Popular Consultation there were 4,500 Communal Circuits and 4,243 projects were approved, of which 67.9 percent have been completed. From the second Consultation «the resources are being lowered. Pay attention to bureaucracy, the resources must reach their destination.»

The national leader guaranteed the resources for the governorates and mayors, for the remainder of this year and for 2025, and thus finish executing the prioritized projects.

For her part, the vice president pointed out that from the First Popular Consultation, there was full disbursement of all the projects that are at a level of execution of almost 68 percent: “Resources are beginning to be made available for the second projects,” she added.

The head of State pointed out that the Bloomberg network has published an article in which it mentions: “Maduro’s waste is his main threat.” For them, “waste” is giving resources to the Communal Circuits, so that it is the community that executes the priority projects; for them, it is waste to invest in entrepreneurs. Simply put, it is the investment necessary for the country to continue on its path.
