Voluntad Popular confesses links with paramilitaries

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, described on Tuesday as serious the recent confessions made by Lilian Tintori – wife of the fugitive of justice Leopoldo López – in which the connections between the Voluntad Popular (Popular Will – VP) right wing party and paramilitary groups are evident.
“Confessions continue about serious links between the criminal organization Voluntad Popular and dangerous Colombian paramilitary gangs to attack Venezuela. The record grows and grows. Our Homeland will never fall into the hands of these white-collar criminals”, wrote the Executive Vice President in her account on the Twitter social network, accompanied by a video of the Tintori press conference.
In the audiovisual material, Tintori points out that the “foundation” of Voluntad Popular, called Rescate Venezuela (Rescue Venezuela), has the collaboration of “many humanitarian hands in each state of our country. And the people who helped us do this are people around the State and irregular paramilitary groups as well”.
The National Government unveiled evidence linking the deputy to the National Assembly in contempt, Juan Guaidó, with the Colombian paramilitary band Los Rastrojos. Through photographs published by a Colombian Human Rights organization, Guaidó is shown with two members of the Colombian narco-paramilitary organization, evidencing the terrorist actions planned by the Venezuelan right wing to attempt against democratic stability and peace.
