Bolivarian government defeated "the politicized show" of false humanitarian aid

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, said on Tuesday that the Venezuelan people, led by the Bolivarian Government, has defeated the politicized show of alleged humanitarian aid from the United States (US) and Colombia to intervene in the country:
“It was neither help, nor humanitarian, it was a politicized show of the Government of the United States and of Colombia to intervene to Venezuela and the Venezuelan people stood up and defeated the show of the false humanitarian aid of that February 23. It was left defeated”, highlighted the Head of State from the Military Circle in Caracas.
Maduro stressed that Venezuela “is not a beggar for anyone to send us a rotten food” under the pretext of humanitarian aid and to commemorate the 16th anniversary of the Barrio Adentro Health Mission, invited the US empire to promote a social program similar to the Venezuelan for the attention of the more than 30 million Americans left homeless by their government:
“Nothing through the bad ways, with their threats and blackmail we stand against imperialism (…) I hope the United States, with so much money and power that they have, would do something similar to the Barrio Adentro (Health Mission) and not perform a show, but to have a policy of attention to the people” , he maintained.
In this context, he judged the position assumed by the North American empire over the country, while he invited them to rectify their erratic policy “of supporting a group of opposition parties”, in favor of establishing relations of respect and permanent communication between both nations:
“The empire, that has led them from defeat to defeat, and continues to support the same groups, they change their faces but in the end it is the same group, the same interests. Someday they will have to reflect, and when they do, here will be the Bolivarian Government and President Maduro with the people to have relations of respect and permanent communication with the government of the United States, and thus turn the page”, pointed out the dignitary.
