Padrino López: We remain undefeated as in Carabobo

With a solemn act and in honor of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, the Libertarian and Bolivarian Torch arrived in Barinas this Wednesday, an activity that was led by the Minister of People’s Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López and the Governor of the entity Argenis Chávez, among others regional authorities.

Coming from Carabobo state, the torch carrying the Homeland Fire was delivered to the Governor of Barinas, Argenis Chávez Frías, by the Secretary General of the Government of Carabobo, Jesús París Lara: “(We received) the Libertarian and Bolivarian Torch that comes from Carabobo, from this territory the baton of the sacred fire is taken with a conscience guided to equanimity and the ethics of our revolutionary principles such as solidarity, love of neighbor and today we are examples to fight battles with great force”, said Padrino López.

During his intervention as a speaker of order on this historic day, Minister Padrino López highlighted the patriotic fervor with which the Bicentennial Torch was received in the lands of Barinas: «What a joy to come here to this historic square where the spirit of the Father of the Nation, the spirit of Commander Hugo Chávez accompanies us (…) Reliving the bicentennial cycle brings us, accompanied by Carabobo, the National Fire that has illuminated so many victories and that today returns to action and combat”, said Padrino López.

In this regard, he referred that Venezuela faces moments of aggression and attacks that are part of an interventionist plan “here are our llanero (plains region) men and women (…) once again the devil is going to be defeated,” he said, emphasizing the commitment to guarantee the freedom of the Homeland towards the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo: “Despite the ruthless plan to attack Venezuela, we keep the Republic standing and we remain undefeated as in Carabobo”, he said.

Padrino López took the opportunity to remember the Minister for Education Aristóbulo Istúriz, who “left us from this plane, Professor Istúriz will live with us and we from Barinas are filled with patriotic, spiritual and moral strength to continue with the struggles and achieve the victories ”.

For his part, the governor of Barinas state, Argenis Chávez, reaffirmed that the people of Barinas receive with great emotion the Bicentennial Torch, as a symbol of the national fire that accompanied the Liberator Simón Bolívar and all the heroes and heroines of the libertarian deed of the Battle of Carabobo, with the commitment today to “continue the revolutionary values ​​of loyalty and sovereignty.”
