The Venezuelan ambassador to Belarus, Franklin Ramírez Araque, held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of that European country, Viktor Mijáilovich Karankevich, with whom he discussed the state of bilateral cooperation and reviewed sectors of common interest for the development of both peoples. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Evgeny Shestakov, and the Director of the Department for Latin America, Dimitry Derevinsky.
During the meeting, Ramírez stressed that both nations are on a joint path for the shared benefit of their peoples, and noted that together they can strengthen their vision “of the multipolar and pluricentric world.” Deputy Prime Minister Karankevich praised the importance of developing a fruitful political, economic and trade relationship with Venezuela and the need to maintain the momentum of the agreements reached by both countries.
He also reported on his upcoming trip to Venezuela, representing Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, to participate in the inauguration ceremonies (scheduled for January 10), of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, who will manage the constitutional period scheduled between 2025 and 2031.
Finally, the authorities reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, improve collaboration in a huge group of strategic sectors and promote sustainable economic growth for both nations.
