ALBA-TCP proposes a new stage of economic and social offensive

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted that a new stage of economic, political and social offensive is beginning for the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas on its 20th anniversary to push the historic times in the construction of a multipolar, pluricentric world, without hegemony of equality and respect.

From the Simón Bolívar Conversion Center, located in La Carlota, Miranda state, the Venezuelan head of state highlighted that the regional bloc will launch the new Agroalba program to seek to promote agro-food production, supply, and food security in the region:

It will be explained how it will work in the different lands of the nations for the production of beans, lentils, black beans, rice, meat, milk, eggs, yams, sweet potatoes, potatoes, cassava and chicken, as well as to increase fishing and agriculture in these wonderful seas with food security; breaking with food dependencies and organic foods,” he emphasized.

Will also begin the new Petrocaribe modality, which will be led by the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, with the purpose that the alliance in unity can invest and produce oil, gas and derivatives in joint companies: “We are proceeding to advance in the fundamental elements for the signing of the ALBA-TCP trade agreement of the peoples and to increase the facilities of intra-Latin America and the Caribbean trade with Intra ALBA.”

At the same time, President Maduro said that the large oil fields of the Orinoco Oil Strip will become the epicenter of the development of a large project of a new productive stage of Petrocaribe.

Another of the proposals in the document, agreed upon by the heads of state of ALBA-TCP, is to resume the platforms of monetary and commercial exchange supported by the concept of the Sucre: “(May) our monetary and financial authorities do it, in reality, how many things can be done.”

He also highlighted that the regional bloc will advance in the challenges in science and technology: “ALBA is already entering into Artificial Intelligence to build the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence and social networks of ALBA for Latin America and the world.”

In light of the above, the Venezuelan president announced that it is ready the building to soon activate the ALBA Center for Science and Technology Innovation: “We are already ready to inaugurate and activate its building, its structure and inaugurate with the scientific and technological priorities in the direction of accelerated artificial intelligence capabilities,” he noted.
