National Assembly reactivates special commission to investigate Citgo robbery

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, during the ordinary session this Tuesday, announced the reactivation of the special commission of parliament, led by the first vice president, deputy Pedro Infante, to investigate crimes against the Citgo company, a subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa).

Deputy Carlos Melo presented the proposal, taking the right to speak to report on the massive robbery of the Venezuelan Citgo company, in which more than 350 people are involved, many of whom have not yet been charged:

Your denounce is serious enough for this National Assembly not to avoid investigation, as it has not alluded to any of the investigations and actions that have been taken by the National Assembly, by the Attorney General’s Office, by the highest offices of the State, against this gang of thieves, criminals, crooks who got their hands on public funds for their own private ends,” said Deputy Jorge Rodríguez.

Likewise, the President of the Legislative Branch ordered the reactivation of said Special Commission so that it immediately addresses said investigation, and in turn announced the incorporation of Deputy Carlos Melo in said task.
