Delegates of Sao Paulo Forum will propose a campaign against aggressive actions by the US


The head of the international politics of the Spanish Izquierda Unida party, Fran Pérez, said on Thursday that he hopes that during the Sao Paulo Forum, which will be held in Caracas from this July 25, a campaign of denunciation against the aggressive actions that the United States is executing, as well as the persecution to which some Latin American leftist leaders are being subjected.
In an interview granted to the “Café en la mañana” (Coffee in the Morning) program broadcast by Venezolana de Television (VTV), he said that he hopes that in the meeting the left-wing parties and social movements will take action to confront US imperialism:
“I hope that actions will be carried out in response to imperialism, one of them may be a campaign to support Latin American leftist leaders who are being criminalized, such as a campaign to denounce that persecution,” said Pérez.
“The objective of the Sao Paulo Forum, which brings together all the Latin American and world left wing parties, social movements, is to fight for a different world from the one they want to impose on us. The objective is to debate, analyze, draw up common strategies to face the North American empire that has a project for the world that is part of its economic interests, the denomination of the people through the war, against that we have to put the dialogue , peace, struggle, coordination of efforts to confront these imperialist policies”, he said.
He explained that during the event they will discuss the development of new alternative media to face the media war imposed by the US empire.
He also stressed that this meeting will strengthen international solidarity with the Venezuelan people and other peoples of the world, demanding in the United Nations that international law is respected.
