Venezuela will resume construction of the steel project, the second major project in the country designed by Commander Hugo Chávez and which was paralyzed by the imperial blockade, and will do so through an agreement with the national business community and the Venezuelan working class:
“Chávez designed it, but it was shot, he had to stop it. But now we are in a position to resume construction of the steel project, there in Guayana, which will bear the name, Siderúrgica Nacional José Ignacio Abreu e Lima,” reported the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros.
During the presidential activity carried out this productive Wednesday, with the inspection of the rebar rolling plant of the National Steel Complex in La Yaguara, in Caracas, the head of State explained that this second steel mill in the south of the country will have the capacity to produce 1,550,000 tons of liquid steel, to be transformed into hot-rolled coils, thick plates, for the oil, naval, military, automotive and construction industries:
“I am calling on the national business community to join in this great construction of the new steel mill of Venezuela, to create a pool of investors, sign a long-term agreement and build – in 2 years at the latest – the new steel mill of the country, Abreu e Lima, with private national capital and the participation of the Venezuelan State and the working class.”
In the presence of the president of Fedeindustria, Orlando Camacho, and the secretary of the Association of Metallurgical Industrialists of Venezuela, José Fernández, as well as other national businessmen, the head of State encouraged them to continue supporting the project of Venezuela Potencia 2025-2031, the true and productive Venezuela, which overcomes the damage of the failed imperial asphyxiation and the assassination attacks, the persecution and the criminal blockade.
“Do you agree?” he asked, and in the face of the verbal approval of those involved, the national leader urged to unite the productive force of the working class of the nation and the national State.
“If something is certain for private capital, the Venezuelan business community has the doors open for us to continue advancing in the development of the nation,” he said forcefully.
“We have managed to consolidate peace; Some conspired against peace, these fascist sectors tried to burn, kill, and did harm, but the unity of the people, the strength of the State, the Constitution and the Law, were stronger than all the terrorist plans,» he summed up.
“How many things are yet to be done, to be accomplished, but we have so much love for our country and we are making an effort towards the future!” he stressed.
