President Maduro: Venezuela offers its cooperation for dialogue and peace in the US

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro Moros advocated for the United States to achieve the path to peace and end polarization, referring to the irruption of the Washington Capitol by supporters of Donald Trump:

“Venezuela offers its cooperation for dialogue, understanding and peace in American society,” said Maduro during the installation of the National Defense Council, held this Thursday at Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.

The South American president regretted what is happening in the United States, and pointed out that it is the reflection of a society that is encapsulated within a system that goes against peace, non-intervention and the sovereignty of the peoples.

The tenant of the White House, Donald Trump, said this Wednesday during a ceremony in the US capital, that he will never acknowledge the results of the elections of last November, while his followers stormed the legislative headquarters of that nation.

As a result of this action, 68 people were arrested, while 4 lost their lives, including a woman who was fatally shot by the police.

Likewise, 14 police officers were injured, two of them in a hospital situation.

Meanwhile, the authorities declared a curfew by which it is prohibited to move through the territory of the district on foot or in any type of transport and to be on the streets, either in a park or in any other public place, as reviews Telesur.
