The Viva Venezuela Festival will extend throughout the country and will take place in the states Amazonas, Bolívar and Delta Amacuro, from October 17 to 20; in the states Apure, Guárico, Barinas and Portuguesa, between November 7 and 10; and in the states Mérida, Táchira and Trujillo, from November 21 to 24.
In this regard, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, expressed that “the greatest victory is in the field of spirituality, of Venezuelan self-affirmation and winning peace in each territory, with our cuatros, drums, poetry, and telling the world (that this) is a land of peace and joy. We will provide all the support.”
The head of State stressed that Venezuela is fighting for its right to peace, to exist and to the future: “We have great threats and sieges, there is a brutal fascist siege on the artists, we already know that, we have already seen that movie.” He said this during the meeting with the promoters of the Great Mission Viva Venezuela, Mi Patria Querida, from the La Casona Cultural Aquiles Nazoa.
He recalled that Alí Primera was persecuted, when they raided his apartment and threw tear gas bombs at him to see if they would silence him: “Alí sings in the voice of his people, we are living it and we have overcome.”
