Federal Council of Government facilitates political dialogue in Venezuela

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, within the framework of the Federal Council of Government, indicated that the national authority plays a facilitating role in the political dialogue in Venezuela.

“We have to insist on dialogue, I insist on the constitutional dialogue. The Federal Council of Government is an instance of constitutional dialogue, where everyone expresses freely, all the legitimate governors of the country”, he said.

“It has resources and has my decided support as President of the Republic. This instance was created in the Constitution of 1999, contemplated in article 185, as part of the Public Power of Venezuela. Today we can say to the international community that the Federal Government Council is in good health, and is an instance of coordination between all sectors with democratic legitimacy in the country”, he expressed.

He pointed out that this instance should work at least once a month, in order to strengthen the activities of the states and municipalities of the country, highlighting its strength before the international community.

“Today we can say to the international community that the Federal Government Council is in good health and is a great instance of dialogue and action among all sectors with democratic legitimacy in the country”, he said.

The Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the presence of the governors-elect by the opposition in the extraordinary convocation held at Miraflores Palace

“I greet the presence of the Governors from the opposition, to the Governor of Táchira state I give my greetings and my respects, my word of commitment, to Governor Ramón Guevara, to Governor Barreto Sira (…) and to Governor Alfredo Díaz of Nueva Esparta state” he declared.

He assured that the Venezuelan people will participate massively in the municipal elections of December 10, which will allow the massification of the Federal Council of Government.

“I’m sure the people will participate massively. as soon as the mayor men and women are elected we must install the Federal Council of Government in December with all the mayor men and women who are elected.

He added that he hopes that in the coming days there will be a renewed opposition that will be on the path to democracy, and will demarcate from the imperial axes.

“We need an opposition that breaks their moorings with Washington, Madrid, Bogotá and Miami and that thinks with a head of their own, and walks with its own feet. Hopefully sooner or later we will have a new opposition, a renewed opposition, a democratic opposition with which we can dialogue, work, with which we can understand ourselves in a new democratic model, broad (…) our path is the peaceful, democratic way, our the road is permanent peace”, he detailed.

He urged the members of this Government body to unite efforts and criteria, in order to contribute to the supreme economic and social happiness of all Venezuelans.
