School party! Successful and joyful return to school in Venezuela

Filled with great enthusiasm and joy, more than eight million children and adolescents returned to the classrooms in Venezuela; in a day that marked the beginning of face-to-face school activities, after the virtual class scheme, arranged by the National Executive for two years, as part of the policies implemented to contain the advance of the Covid-19 pandemic.

From early hours, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, made use of his official account on the twitter social network, to welcome the girls and boys to the new school term:

For her part, the Vice President of the Republic Delcy Rodríguez participated in an emotional act of returning to classes at the E.B. Miguel Antonio Caro school, located in the Sucre parish of the capital city. “Thanks to the policies of our Bolivarian president, more than two million children will benefit from their uniforms and school supplies, thanks to cooperation and alliances with the private sector, the participation of communes and new entrepreneurs”, she said.

The Minister of Education, Yelitze Santaella, was also present at this event. “Today has been a day of joy and hope. We see materialized the social plan that the president has indicated for the protection of our children. Schools equipped and with the presence of the School Feeding Program (PAE), to impact each vulnerable area, complying with 100% presence in our classrooms”, she detailed.

The student Juan Medina expressed his enthusiasm: “This is my high school, I am proud of belonging to it. Let’s take advantage of our spaces to educate ourselves and build a better country for all from our schools”.

With a hopeful and victorious start, the national government guarantees free and quality education throughout the country.
